So, what can you do this weekend if you are on a budget?
First, check out your city’s local events calendar; you’ll find out about the different events going on in your area and many events are free. You can also check out free attractions.com where you will find out about free landmarks and attractions in your city.
Since its fall and Halloween is almost here check out your local farms and see if they have any haunted hayrides or corn mazes.
If you are in the Washington DC, then check out “Boo at the Zoo” where kids can enjoy trick-or treating, animal encounters, haunted trails, and more.
You can also check out the USA Science & Engineering Festival; a free event on the National Mall; with free satellite events across the nation.
The goal of the festival is to re-invigorate the interest of our nation’s youth in science. There will be plenty of things for the entire family to do with more than 1500 activities, and 75 stage shows and best of all it’s FREE
Finally, don’t forget about the Lowe’s kids Halloween free workshop where kids will get to make a flapping bat. So whatever you decide to do just remember that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to have fun.
