March is American Red Cross Month,
This month is designated to recognize Red Cross-workers who dedicate their time to helping others in the midst of crises. It could be a hurricane, earthquake, tornado, or fire in the middle of the night, the Red Cross is there to help individuals going through crises in communities across America.
On December 27th 2013 at 4am, the Red Cross was there to help my parents when their house caught on fire. The Red Cross placed them in a hotel, gave them money to buy clothes, and the volunteers were there to comfort them when the unexpected happened.
I am thankful to know that the American Red Cross was their to help my family in their time of need.
Take time to get involved with the American Red Cross; you can donate money, give blood, volunteer, or help with fundraising.
One day it might be you who needs help from the Red Cross, so let’s make a difference and give back to an organization that helps people when disaster strikes.
